In 2003 Lynn and Harald Husum were people watching in Brooklyn when they were inspired to design a line of fun, irreverent t-shirts for kids. In their tiny apartment they designed, dyed and screen printed their first line of pop-culture and street art influenced tees. The line was named Appaman after Harald’s childhood companion, a cheeky corduroy ape that he befriended while growing up in Norway.
Fifteen years, two daughters, and tens of thousands of clothes later, Appaman continues to create thoughtfully designed garments, drawing inspiration from childhood and current street style favorites. The goal has always been to design fashion uniquely for kids but loved by all.

This is a very nice jacket! It is heavier/thicker than I expected and looks great on my son. He is 12 and slim and the size 14 fit nicely on him.

This coat was warm and the color is stunning. Gets compliments every time she wears it. Hard to find a real down coat these days. Also the outer material is water proof.

I love this children's clothing line, I bought this on a whim for my hard to buy for God granddaughter. It's so thin, and made of polyester, like a ribbed thin velvet. It arrived stuffed in a bag rumpled up and wrinkled. The fabric feels cheap and tacky. I bought it on sale for 38.98 and the next day it was 35.00 still too much for this thin cheaply made garment. I am going to guess it won't survive its first wash.
